Hey there, nice to meet you…

I’m Harry. I’m an ESTJ personality type.

I’m a registered adult nurse and I’ve worked in healthcare for several years. I trained at Oxford Brookes University and qualified in 2018. I started my nursing career as a community nurse, visiting people in their own homes in Wiltshire, and I now work as a practice nurse in Bournemouth.

In my past and present job, I help people with long-term health conditions, injuries and end of life care. I also do things like vaccinations and blood tests, and support people to stay as healthy, independent, and confident as possible.

Before becoming a nurse, I worked in home care and in practical jobs like engineering and agriculture. These experiences helped me become a good problem-solver and taught me how to work well with lots of different people. I’m usually described as calm, easy to talk to, and reliable.

Growing up, my mother had serious mental health difficulties, so I understand how much mental health can affect everyday life for the person going through it and for the people around them too. My mum was also a nurse, which inspired me to go into caring work. Helping others is something I genuinely enjoy and feel proud of.

I’m a dad to two children, and after my marriage ended in 2024 I’ve spent time working on myself through therapy, learning more about who I am and how life experiences shape us. I believe this helps me be more understanding, patient, and supportive of others.

In my free time, I like playing tennis and football, playing the piano, gaming, listening to music, reading, and spending time with my partner and kids doing fun things together.

I hope to be someone you can feel comfortable around – someone who listens, understands, and supports you to be yourself and move forward in your own way.
