our ethos

At Buddies, we believe effective care is built on relationships that are both professional and genuine.

The name “Buddies” reflects our commitment to thoughtful matching — pairing each individual with a well-matched, consistent carer who understands their communication style, preferences and pace. Referring to our team members as a  “Buddy” is a reflection of care delivered with trust, authenticity and respect. We use the MBTI Personality test as a matching tool. Check out our Buddies Blueprint.

We are guided by values of:

  1. Consistency and continuity, so relationships have time to develop

  2. Professional oversight, ensuring clear accountability and safe practice

  3. Open, respectful communication with families and professionals

  4. Recognition of individuality, autonomy and lived experience

We recognise that many individuals requiring support may have experienced change, disruption or complex circumstances. Our role is to provide stability — maintaining focus on the person.

We believe care should feel safe, respectful and human — well-structured, and authentic.

As a small provider, the Registered Manager maintains direct involvement in assessment, care planning and oversight of delivery. This ensures continuity, structured risk management and responsive support.

We work in partnership with families, local authorities, case managers and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, coordinated care.

We welcome referrals from Local Authorities, case managers, healthcare professionals and private individuals seeking structured, reliable support.

Our clinically informed, governance-led approach enables us to work effectively within complex, multi-agency environments while remaining focused on delivering high-quality regulated Personal Care.
